America effectively misguided or rather pressured UN and other countries in waging the war against Iraq alleging the presence of so called weapons of Mass destruction which were never to be found. This war, which was waged without any conclusive evidence and only with united gut feel of America, caused immense misery and problems to the people of Iraq not to mention the human rights violation in Abu Ghraib. United Nations was a silent watcher of all these events.

Iran, the country which was described as an Axis of Evil, by George W Bush, in 2002 is the center of attention now. It was in 2003 that IAEA, the nuclear watchdog of UN, started asking questions about the Iran nuclear activities, for which Iran responded by allowing the officials of IAEA to even visit their nuclear facilities to see the activities which IAEA considered to be suspicious. In 2004, Iran was asked to suspend the nuclear activities for the reason that they may have not disclosed all their nuclear research activities. Again the decision was taken without any conclusive evidence and only gut feel to prevent Iran from continuing its nuclear activities. USA is again following the same strategy of misguiding and pressurizing the countries of the world in this issue.

Both UN and USA have forgotten to learn from history. USA should learn from Iraq not to make allegations in world affairs without conclusive evidence, UN should learn from League of Nations.

What can i do

Long time since i wrote in the blog. Anyway no one reads it, but still i will continue. Anyway i dont have anything to write about now. So what can i do. Even in real time i feel like the pressure on my head is too less. I feel like i am here to do nothing. I see people, my friends doing a lot of work, writing papers, doing assignments, participating in other activities, studying etc. But i can say that i am a diametric opposite. NOTHING TO DO. The ssignments that i do are not exerting that much pressure. I know there is a lot of work to be done in the IIM's. But seriously i did a better work when i was preparing for CAT. But even if i dont have any official work to do i am keeping myself busy with activities of personal interest like sports, jogging, quizzing, reading watching movies and the like. The interest clubs are keeping themselves busy, of course there are also some non working clubs but still they are busy and all my friends are part of these clubs and are surrounded by activities while there is only emptiness all around me. Finally one thing more anyway doing work is boring

Super staaru yaarunnu ketta

You can criticize him, you can argue against him, you can say he is spoils youngsters, but the one thing you cannot do is to ignore this man. I am referring to Super Star Rajnikanth affectionately called Thalaivar (Leader) by his fans, who may reach millions. His fans range from the autowala to a millioniare, from a three year old kid to guy in his fifties, from southern india to Japan. A man who rose from the lowest strata of the society to this stardom purely because of his skills, charisma and hard work. Rajnikanth or Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, was born in maharashtra, worked as a bus conductor in Bangalore. His break came when he was spotted by K Balachandar in his movie Aboorva Raagangal along with one of the best actors, Kamalhaasan.
He played a cameo in that movie but his subsequent movies brought out the excellent actor hidden in him. Especially the eponymous role of Parattai played in the movie 16 Vayadhinilae was one of those which no tamil movie goer will forget. Not to mention another eponymous role in the same movie performed by Kamal "Chappaani". If i Write about thalaivar i will require a whole day for now bye more about thalaivar will continue.....

P.S. But the more one runs from the past the more it follows you and pushes you towards the future. Let me stop here and think of something, something that is synonymous with judgement day. The placement process.

What the placement brings to the table, what truth it reveals to an average student.

1) The time of the year when you will come to know that your worst competitors are no one other than your best of friends.

2) The time you will realise that the ultimate objective of your two years is, placement and not what you have learnt.

3) The time you see that there is no correllation between what you speak in the GD and what you do

4)The time you see the guy who does not give a damn to close the tap of the washbasin talking lengths about water conservation

5) The time you realise that words speak louder than actions. The more you speak the better you are

6) The time you realise that you are alone in the world.

7) The time when all the people around you look smart other than you

8) The time you know that the interview panel is the 11nth incarnation of lord Vishnu.

9) The time when people congratulate each other like the beauty contest contestants do.

10) The time when you have to fight in a fishmarket

11) The time when you have to answer to gods in human form, who are cool, composed and condescending.

someone said "All the world is a stage" but placement is the best part of the drama

These revelations are not from my personal experience but just a thought

Irritation overcome

Its been a long time since i posted something in my blog. The reason being that i was pissed off because i was the only person who reads the blog, comments and writes.
Now i overcame my irritation simply by the urge to write something and i am sure i am writing 'something'.

Creative stuffs are difficult to create that only a few people can do but there are millions of morons in this world to comment about other people's work as badly as they can. These bozo's are not capable of creating something or atleast do something useful but ready to give comments, suggestions and advices to others which are better forgotten. Forget these Dickheads let me write something on the topic I played the game Grand theft auto and thats the reason for the language i have used above.

Its a sexy game where all the hidden desires of mankind to lie, cheat and steal comes to reality. the lead character is a don who comes with nothing to vice city but makes a fortune there by working as a henchman. finally he kills his boss and becomes a hotshot himself. play the game if you are pathetically bored. Is it possible in real life
2) The body is just a chemical composition of atoms and molecules which have developed special ability to work together and form complex structures like man. After a particular period these molecules that have joined together in a co-operative manner may fail to stick together and hence they break that result in death. Hence after death we will gain be broken down into molecules and atoms of chemicals not capable of thinking
3) The soul is the guardian of the body, which wanders away from the body when we sleep but keeps in touch with the body during sleep, thinks that the body is unfit for it to live and leaves the body in search of a new one. The soul loses the memory of its previous self since the memories are stored in the brain which perishes with the body, but the soul contains some impressions of the previous life.
4) Death is caused when the subconscious mind wants the body to die. The subconscious mind of the person is in touch with every thing in this world and causes the death of a person. For example when a person dies because of some natural disaster, it is only the subconscious mind of all the people dieing in the disaster that causes it.

Eva Braun

Eva Braun

Eva Braun was an ordinary girl from an ordinary family. She had an unusual beauty that was the sole reason for her place in history. Hitler wanted a simple girl, not interested in Politics and one who loved only him and Eva Braun was that one.

Eva was born in 6th February 1912 as the daughter of Fritz and Francisca Braun. Fritz wanted his daughter to become an actress but Fransisca was interested in making her a fashion designer. After leaving her studies she joined the Hein Reich Hoffman stores as a storekeeper.

One day Hitler came to Hoffman and Eva was cleaning the store and that was the first time they met. Hitler was introduced to her as Wolf. Since Eva was not interested in politics she didn’t know who Hitler was and she was surprised when she found that Mr. Wolf was actually Adolf Hitler

Eva was born for Hitler; they were made for each other since Eva was not so intelligent and will not interfere in his matter which is the same he wanted. Hitler had so many girlfriends he was in love with Geli reubel, who was his sister’s daughter; Geli also loved Hitler truly before she committed suicide with Hitler’s pistol.

Eva also tried to kill herself but was saved by her sister. After a month after her suicide attempt when her parents were driving they found a Nazi car and the car had their 20 year old daughter and Adolf Hitler. They opposed their love but in vain. Hitler never cared about Eva’s parents. Eva also presented Fritz with a golden watch and invited him for dinner which he refused.

Leni Riefenstahl, the actress also popularized Hitler’s propaganda in her films. She helped Hitler in writing his biography. But Hitler on the other hand prevented Eva from learning photography which she was interested in but she took most of the pictures of Hitler. When England and France declared war against Germany Eva was playing with the flowers in the garden and those were some of the happiest moments in her life.

She loved romantic novels and film magazines and she called Hitler as fuehrer. She most of the time spent her time in entertainment and music which she can’t live without. It is believed that Eva didn’t have any idea about Hitler's anger against the Jews. She was neither a activist nor a supporter of Jews but she made herself a slave of Hitler.

Even during the World War II when Germany was being attacked from all fronts it is believed that Eva lived a happy life. She spoke against the war for the simple reason that she was not able to get her cosmetics because of the war. After his meeting with death when he escaped the assassination (See a plot) Hitler wrote a letter to Eva, about the attempt and said he was convalescing. She wrote back calling him to live a peaceful life with her. She also said that she cannot live without Hitler. Eva then moved with Hitler to the bunker where he lived. One thing that is clear is that they both loved each other very much and were crazy about each other.

March 1945 when the allied forces were in Germany, Hitler and Eva were hiding in a bunker. They finally married Hitler before the day they died. It is believed that they married just to prove that their love was true. She signed for the first time as Eva Hitler after striking the B. They both killed themselves after 48 hours of their marriage. Hitler consumed a cyanide capsule and Eva died with his gun. She said to her hairdresser that her dead body should also look beautiful.

Her sister Elisa named her daughter after her dead sister Eva. But Elisa’s daughter committed suicide at the age of 17 when her friend died in an accident.

Jaipur Part One

This blog unlike many others has been different in one aspect. I don’t write about my personal life. I always had the feeling that others will not be interested in knowing about me. The second reason is that I didn’t like boasting about myself, I did that I did that. The third reason is that my life is not open to everyone. But in some of my writings I have touched my personal experiences in a superficial manner. Anyway I will be touching upon my life now for the simple reason that I want to share my experiences in Jaipur with the readers of my blog.

I was born in Chennai, and spent more than 15 years of my childhood in a place called Triplicane. I felt more comfortable with the blaring noise of the city and the lights of the sodium lamps. But after we shifted our home I missed all this. My college was also situated out of the city and also IIM Indore. Even now I used to look at the city lights from the hostel at IIM Indore.

But I felt the memories of my past coming back to me in Jaipur. The last thing I expected in this place was nostalgia. But I can’t help myself getting nostalgic since tonk phatak; the place I am staying in Jaipur is an exact replica of big street in Triplicane. Same kind of book stores, same type of market which stretches through out the street.

After finding a decent accommodation in Jaipur, I immediately went to the tourist office to get a map of Jaipur city. I also got some tourist information about the city. The cost of living is relatively cheap when compared to Chennai. It will take 150/- bucks to travel to most of the historical destinations.

I wanted to travel to some places on my own without taking the tourism help. So I took a map and set out to explore this beautiful city. About 1 km from tonk patak is a place called Jawahar Kala Kendra, a place that is supposed to be an artistic location. Most of the galleries in JKK were closed, I was able to visit only one gallery that was open there, the sphatic art gallery, and the gallery was filled with paintings and sculptors by some of the local people. The paintings were good to look at but I was only able to enjoy them (not understand). I had my breakfast in Jawahar Kala Kendra and set out for my next destination.

The lakshminarayana temple or the Birla temple was my next destination. I still continued to walk all the way from Jawahar Kala Kendra to Birla temple. One thing that I understood while traveling Jaipur was never to rely on the information from one single person since twice I was shown the wrong way but being a smart traveler (At least think so) I found out Birla temple. It was about to close but I reached there Just In Time (JIT). As the name suggests the lakshminarayana temple was built by the Birlas. It also housed the Birla museum but the museum was closed. Close to the Lakshminarayana temple was the fort of Rani Gayathri Devi. She stays there.

My next destination was the Ganesh temple which was very close to the Birla temple. The places seemed less famous attracting very few tourists. After the Ganesh temple I traveled to the international dolls museum. The museum was inaugurated by Bhairon Singh Shekawat in the year 1979. It was housed near the school for deaf and blind children. The money from the museum went to that school. The ticket was two rupees, the museum consisted of two sections namely Indian dolls and international dolls. Indian dolls consisted of dolls depicting the various states of India. International dolls as the name suggests consisted of dolls depicting the people of various countries. The Japanese dolls were the most beautiful of all the dolls I found there.

The next place was the museum of Indology. But the fare was quiet high (40 bucks per head). The funniest thing is that if two people come then the fare is 20 per head. I didn’t go to this museum since the costing done was forbidding and funny.

I was tired by this time because of the long walks; I took a rickshaw for eight bucks and set out to the Albert hall which houses the central museum. Before going to the museum I went to the state zoo which was nearby, the ticket cost me 10 bucks. Zoo was an interesting place always; I was welcomed by two tigers, May be the missing tigers of Sariska. (I also had a plan to go to Sariska but decided the other way). Then there were other animals like panther, white tiger, Himalayan bear, brown bear, Lion, Gharial, croc, sambhar, Ibis, Macaque, jackal, hyena etc. Most of the animals were kept in their natural habitats but some were there in cages.

Then I went to the final destination the Albert hall/central Museum. It was a princely building with a lot of pigeons and people. It contained some reproduced paintings of Rameses and other Egyptian and Greek paintings. It also had some reproductions of the paintings from the Hindu mythology like Ramayana and Mahabharata. It also had reproduced versions of Mona Lisa (one of my wish is to see the original in lauvre) and a sarcophagus from Egypt.

After my mini trip I was like hell tired on my way back I rested for sometime in the Ram Nivas Garden before I took a rickshaw to tonk patak back to the confines of my room.

Cadre : Business Rating : U

Localization

The mega phenomenon of globalization has finally made an impact in the global business scenario. Increased competition, reduced boundaries and global information exchange have been some of the features of this phenomenon. The famously called LPG, Localization, privatization and globalization did not leave India when India, which has been a centrist country, was forced to globalize in the early 90’s.

As the hype and hoopla about globalization is continuing there is a silent phenomenon that is underway, the phenomenon of localization. In the early 90’s when M TV entered the Indian viewer it came with the hard rock and metallic music. But the Indian viewer classified this music as just noise; the same MTV now caters to the Indian customer in a different way. Channel V, the competitor of MTV in India was the first channel to come up with the idea of a music channel specialized with the local bollywood style catering to the Indian customer. This is just one example of localization.

Localization is the process of maintaining the same brand image worldwide but modifying the brand positioning to suit the local customer better. Some of the other examples are the advertisements by Coke and Pepsi, the soft drink giants. These cola manufacturers roped in Indian celebrities to advertise their brands. While coke roped in bollywood big names like Aamir khan, Aishwarya rai, Vivek Oberoi, Salman Khan Etc. Pepsi went a step further and used south hotties Surya and Madhavan in their advertisements.

Samsung, the Korean player sponsored the Indian cricket team, even when the sport of cricket was almost alien to Korea. Even pizza hut introduced pan pizza to suit the Indian taste. LG introduced Sampoorna specially designed for the rural Indian and the list of examples continues.

With the competition increasing, with the battleground becoming more and dustier, this localization is likely to emerge as the next big thing. It will be a situation in which you have to either localize or die.

A Plot

Count Von Stauffenberg, a name very few would have heard of, a name that could have turned the course of history, a name that would have been etched in the list of heroes in history. Very few of us know the story of Stauffenberg and his attempt to kill Adolf Hitler which ended in a failure, here is how the story goes.

July 20 1944, the world was fighting with itself, east attacking west, north attacking south allied attacking Atlas and men attacking men. There was commotion, fear, and common men don’t know when the aircraft flying over his head will drop something. Uncertainty prevailed over the fate of this third planet from the sun. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the wartime leader, physically weak to fight but mentally strong enough to lead a legion of army was in his train traveling through San Diego, California. USA was at the war in the pacific with Japan after the Pearl Harbor incident. FDR was completely oblivious of the fact that the day can be a potentially important one.

It was not just FDR, but the man who lives in 10, Downing Street, also was not aware of the situation. Mr. Winston Churchill, the British prime minister was in his room worried about the recent air attack by the Germans. He was worried on how to retaliate the German air attack on his soil. The prime minister had his own plans on how to deal with the German menace. But his generals were against his idea of using Poison gas as a weapon of mass destruction.

The third man in the show was also sitting in his room reading the proposal of the states to help them in their war with Japan. Even though USSR has clearly stated that it will fight against Japan only if USA helps them to dismantle the fuehrer, this proposal requesting for help was there on Stalin’s desk. All the three leaders have met only once before, that too was only for getting introduced to each other.

And there in Germany, in a bunker next to the wolfs lair was the hero or rather villain of this story having his regular check up with the doctor for Parkinson’s disease. He has ordered for the meeting with his generals to draw his strategy. One of the generals invited for the meeting was Count von Stauffenberg, but Stauffenberg had different plans other than to plan a strategy. He had plans to weed out evil from this planet earth, to bring peace once again on the face of mother earth, to kill the cause of this war, Adolph Hitler. Stauffenberg, a man who has lost his fingers and one eye in a bomb attack was one of the most important persons in the war front.

His menu for Hitler that day was special, he had a hand made bomb which will detonate in twenty minutes of its inception. He arrived early to wolfs lair only to find out that the meeting with the fuehrer has been pre-poned. Left without adequate time to prepare his recipe with his three fingered hand, he has now ended up with only one bomb. Already running late for the meeting, now the problem is to place the bomb as close to Hitler. Stauffenberg takes the bomb in his leather case and walks up to the meeting hall.

There was the man, sitting in his chair surrounded by his generals, looking at the plans of one of his generals. Stauffenberg enter the hall and emerges successful in placing his leather bag near the chair of Hitler. After some time Stauffenberg finds some reason to leave the room after having a final look at the fuehrer, hoping that it will be the last time he sees Hitler. But fate has another recipe prepared for Stauffenberg, in the form of Hitler’s generals, who takes the bag and keeps it in another location.

Churchill, FDR, Stalin, Stauffenberg all had something in common, they wanted to get rid of this face of evil, and this was the opportune moment they have been waiting for. The bomb blasts, Stauffenberg runs from outside to the meeting hall hoping to find the dead body of the fuehrer. But there was Hitler, still alive, with a broken shoulder and minor injuries, with more confidence than ever. The statements made by Hitler after his meeting with death was “I am invincible “.

<img border='0' style='border:1px solid #000000; Amitabh bachan , sachin tendulkar, coca cola, hutch, bugging ads in the middle of our favorite movie or serial. But very few of us are aware that we are watching hundreds of advertisements per day. Ads are there all around us, in billboards, newspapers, magazines, radio, websites, SMS, and the most important of all television which caters for almost 45% of the advertisements. This is one of the most happening industries in India with advertising giants like McCann, LOWE, O&M and many others.

Let’s begin our story from the year 1950. Most of the ads in the 50’s were newspaper ads and the main purpose is to convey information to the consumer.

This was the situation even in the 60’s and 70’s where advertisements were mainly in newspaper and posters but aesthetics were also given importance along with the conveyance of information. But this changed with the advent of television in the late 70’s and the early eighties.

unlike in the other countries where the purpose of advertisement was to create false needs, in India there was no false needs among the people. the purpose of ads in India in the eighties was to amplify the existing needs of people. The eighties also saw the first national telecast ,the Asian games 1982 and color transmission.

One of the earliest ads was that of Liril in which a model dances in the waterfall with bikini. It is surprising to note that not even a single protest was raised regarding this ad. Some of the other famous ads are that of hamara Bajaj and mile sur mera tumara.

But the telecast of cricket matches and other programs made advertisements in televisions a more attractive business in the 90’s. Liberalization ensured that the market changed from a sellers market to buyers market which added further to the business. There was also the creation of false needs among the customers. For example in some nestle ads chocolates were projected as a way of showing love and affection to children.

Brand identity was given more importance. Cadburys dairy milk came up with an ad showing that chocolates were not meant only for children with an ad showing a teen girl dancing in a cricket match with dairy milk in her hand.

Mr.Piyush pandey, of O & M has stated that one of the key factors in advertisements is targeting a particular group known as the target market.
He says that ads should be specifically tailored with a particular target customer in mind in order to ensure success.

With the burgeoning private TV channels, increased competition and increased buying power of the middle class customer this industry is definitely here to stay.

Time travel

Explain science to a person who does not even know what science is but never explain science to a person who does not want to know about science. I learnt this lesson the hard way when I presented my ideas of time traveling in my management class. The disinterested professor was more interested in my hand movements and other useless things than on the most important thing “The content “. I made the presentation as simple as possible so that a kid can also understand but I was not able to make my beloved professor understand the intricacies of time travel.

My grade for my presentation was in Marianas trench, telling me indirectly that what I spoke that day was crap. I am hereby writing that same crap in my blog for you people.

How many of us have star gazing as a hobby. Not many but what they see is not actually the star that exists at present. Coz light traveling from the star takes some time to reach the earth.
If the star is 100 light years away it will take 100 years for the light from the star to reach earth it means that what you are gazing is the star that was in existence 100 years ago.

That means you are not doing star gazing but past gazing (Gazing the past). You are looking at something which existed in the past.

Let’s extend this concept further if a hypothetical person lives in the planet next to this star and if that person travels faster than light to reach our planet he will be able to see himself. He will be able to see his own past since he had traveled and reached earth before his own image transmitted through light was able to reach earth.

The next question is can anyone travel faster than light. It is said till now that anything with a mass cannot travel faster than light. It was said sometime before that sound barrier cannot be broken but we know what really happened.

Some of the people who believe in the possibility of time traveling have identified some of the paradoxes associated with this. One prominent paradox that exists is that the famously called grand father paradox.

This is how it goes, if you go back to the past and kill your grandfather then you will not be born in the first place.

And the time travel scientists (I will not be surprised if others called them weirdoes) have given some explanations to this paradox.

One is the circular causation effect or simply put fate which states that how much ever you try you will not be able to change the past. It says that everything is predetermined and nothing can be changed.

Another explanation is that if a person kills his own grandfather by traveling to the past he will not be born in the future hence there will be no record of his existence when he comes back to the future. Hence he will become a citizen of no time period. He will be caught in the time trap. Remember prof. McGonagall warning Hermione granger before giving the time turner about this time trap.

The third explanation and the most interesting of them all is the alternate universe theory which states that every second there are millions of universes being created each representing one alternative. If you kill your grandfather you will be in one universe and if you fail to kill him you will be in another universe.

Time travel is not just what I explained it is much more involving black hole concept and many other concepts.

It is a vast area which is open to people whose thoughts are not constrained by the rationality of this world.

HITLER

                                                            Hitler

“When you stop learning history you will lose your culture” These statements were neither made by any famous CEO or Historian nor were the words of any world leader. Can u guess! If u can’t these were the statements of a common man, a guide in Mandu, a fort next to Indore.
History cannot be constrained to the sub standard text books in the school or any degree in history major. It is an ongoing phenomenon. Thanks to the modern technology, this has proved that not only we can read history but also see.
Here we are with Hitler, directed by Christian Duguay, this movie surely has done a great job in reconstructing history. The movie depicts the story of the man, born as a citizen of Austria and his rise to power. Reconstructing the life of the man who changed the history of the world is not an easy task but this movie has taken this task and has done a wonderful work.
Surprisingly, this movie is not about the grotesque killing of the Jews, the holocaust, or the world war. But the movie is purely about how the common man Adolph Hitler, rose to power and became the dreaded fuehrer.
The movie begins with Hitler as a boy, who burns the bees of his brutal father. A youngster who wanted to be an artist but thrown out of art school. As a man, who went to Germany in search of a livelihood. This movie will surely make you feel like you are watching the real Hitler. Robert Carlyle, playing the character, has done a tremendous job. All the actors and actresses have done their part so well. The art direction takes you back to the mid 20th century. Also the music was excellent portraying the situation. Certain scenes like when Geli commits suicide, shows the genius of the director.
If you think you don’t know anything about this man this is the place. If you think you know about Hitler even then watch this movie for you will know something new.
The movie ends with the statement of Edward Burke “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil was for good men to do nothing”. This statement surprisingly matches with the current scenario.
May be some movie will be made after 30 years or so titled “Bush: the face of Evil”.
A must watch movie. The things that a person learns through practice or through teaching. In olden days there was the guru- shishya system in which the pupil is sent to a guru who teaches him wisdom and gives him worldly knowledge.

The big disadvantage of this method is that, the student becomes dependent on the competency of the guru. If the guru is incompetent then even if the student is intelligent it’s of no use. Ok come on leave it we are in the sophisticated 21st century why on the bluest of the blue hell should we worry about the disadvantage of a system that existed in time unknown, be modern chap step into the 21st century.

If you think so think again, the problem still exists. Teaching is not a lucrative profession anymore. Less and less people are going into the profession of teaching which has ultimately lead to the entry of less talented people into this divine profession that the guru shishya disadvantage is seeping into education domain but the only difference is that now shisya is one but guru’s are many sides of the same coin belonging to the incompetent currency. Shut up the coin has only two sides.

A good students learning ability also depends to a considerable extent on the competency of the teacher, whether it be a kindergarten teacher or a teacher in a professional institute. Ok then can we say that the guru shisya effect is still applicable. The answer is a resounding YES.

But wait why should the intelligence of a person depend on someone else is this fair for an intelligent guy to get wasted for no fault of his. Can we undo this dependency? Undo ha ha ha, the effect of using computers, undo ha ha ha. But wait ya I can see the bulb glowing in my head ya computers. Can we replace teachers with computers that are standardized and competent enough to teach?

If so what will happen? The Albert Einstein junior, who is dependent on his teacher moron guruji Prasad will be freed. But is this a solution, it raises more questions than answers, what will happen to the teachers. Teaching is a customized profession not all the kids learn the same way. We cant standardize education. But wait again instead of standardizing or using artificial intelligence, of course both are very distant techniques, how about bringing the professor of the Harvard University to Chamanlal College of engineering. Ha ha ha ha now I am completely out of my mind first AI for customized education and now Prof. from Harvard coming. Impossible!

But again the solution is IT brings him virtually into your living room. Reduce the teachers in a college or a school. A person who teaches will be a combination of computers trained to teach with AI if possible and very competent and experienced people from the field of teaching. But what about our teachers like champak Prasad and moron ramani, they can act in giving the customized touch, they can act as facilitators in helping the students with some of their problems which cannot be dealt with the professor from Harvard or the computer. Sounds nice but how practically is this possible. Only time can answer.

TSUNAMI

Tsunami, a word very few people in India have heard of and some have read it in their text books, ya it is a distant phenomena occurring in some distant land of Japan. Why Japan coz the name is Japanese it makes sense to say it is a Japanese phenomenon doesn’t it. But this word was added to the vocabulary of common man in India especially Tamil nadu on 26th December but not without cost. The day began with a tremor which traveled from Indonesia, after the shock of the tremor people were at least relieved that it didn’t cause any damage to any properties. But they were completely oblivion of the danger which followed this earthquake rendering thousands all over the country homeless and taking the life of even more.
The Marina of course the second largest natural beach in the world, a heaven for the daily joggers, a solace for the people strangled in the polluted air of main Chennai, a playground for the next Sachins and Gangulys, a hanging garden for the Romeos and Juliets, a livelihood for the fishermen, revenue for the vendors, took a form never seen before when the thirty foot waves came to engulf the coast.
But who to blame, can we safely blame the government as we usually do for not installing a tsunami warning system in place coz that is the easy thing to do. But the truth is instead of blaming each other we need to see what can be done in this situation. Install a tsunami warning system so that we can save at least the future from such events. Ok tsunami warning system that’s fine but what about other catastrophes like earthquakes what can we do about that. We are on the right track , people who laughed at the mention of the names like earthquake resistant buildings, tsunami warning system, earthquake warning systems have finally started wearing their thinking caps and giving a serious head. But earthquakes are difficult to predict even if predicted it’s only a few seconds before the impact. But earthquake resistant buildings can be a solution to prevent the damage that may be caused by the quakes. Even the ministry of urban development GOI has issued amended bylaws for the Delhi area to ensure the coming up of earthquake resistant buildings. This is in the long term as we use this word in some of the global classes. May be Girish agarwal’s favorite word.
But what the immediate situation demands is Relief. The government, the NGO’s and the citizens have done a tremendous job in both in contributing and conducting the relief operations. This is a testimony to the unity of the country that people in kannyakumari contributing for kargil and the kashmiri people donating blood for the tsunami victims. But the government needs to ensure that all these relief operations reach the right people without being eaten away by the even worse evil of corruption. It should also be taken care that the affected people are given the right psychological treatment along with the medical attention. Finally the onus rests on not only the government but on all the citizens of this great country of India in standing united in this time of distress. In a village called parangipet in Tamil Nadu, the Muslims have given the tsunami affected people a home, a mosque for them to live and also food for them. They are no governments, they are no NGO’s but as citizens they have done their duty both proving that a partition cannot blemish the greatness of this country and its people and also hitting a well deserved nail on the heads of those people who preach communal hatred and those people who are inclined to further division of the country.

Vaastushastra review

                                    Vasthushasthra

Do ghosts really exist? If they exist what will they do to us ? Questions that sometimes lingers in our minds. Whether you believe in ghosts or not watch vasthushastra for jus the thrilling experience and the fear that it brings to the surface. Produced by Ram gopal Varma (nowadays this guy is either producing or directing Horror movies A.B*) and directed by Saurabh narang, VS will make Chill run down your spine.

The movie stars Chakravarthy (Remember Satya, another RGV flick B.B**) and the talented beauty Sushmita sen who once again proves her talent, It also stars Peeya rai chaudhary, (Bride and prejudice) and Purab as her boyfriend Murali (He is B4U VJ if I am right) with Saayaji Shindhe in a cameo role (Bharathi)

. Chakravarthy is a writer who works at home and sushmitha is a doc. They shift to a new house along with their kid and Rads (Radhika not basu, Sush’s Sis), where the trouble begins. No points for guessing, the house is haunted.

The very beauty of this movie is that it never deviates from its purpose that is to scare you. Throughout the movie there is either darkness or scary music or ghosts. Also one more thing worth mentioning is that there are no numbers, no dancing around trees and also no item numbers a very rare thing in hindi movies.

Some times it reminds you of the Hollywood flicks like evil dead and the others. Especially when Radhika runs home, drops the keys near the door reminds Evil dead and when rohan the kid draws the picture of the ghosts in home we remember the others.

The makeup is excellent especially that of Manish (Not Bhagat or Saini or Gupta) and Jyothi (not Basu again) and also the other ghosts. The musician deserves a special applaud. The movie does not have many players which act to its advantage.

Finally the climax is very different from the normal indian horror movies. Thank god, there are no weirdo’s or magic sorcerers showing their necromantic skills nor there is any godly power which comes from heaven to protect the world from ghosts. The climax is really well made that watch it and find it out yourself.

After watching this movie I really wanted to say “Hollywood we are coming”.

*A.B-After Booth

**B.B-Before Booth
